Browns vs Packers: Brady Quinn Looks Good | Player Rankings
This was a very interesting game as we saw the Packers look like a team that is ready for a huge offensive season in 2009. In the other side of the ball, the Browns quarterback situation got a lot more clearer as to whom should be the starter come opening day in September.
Packers Offense is on Fire
Man oh man did Aaron Rodgers look focused and ready to kick some butt in this one. In the first drive he found receiver Donald Driver for a 53 yard touchdown catch and finished the game 5 of 10 passing for 102 yards and a touchdown.
In his second drive of the game he lead the team down for another touchdown but this time it would be Ryan Grant that would pound in the touchdown from the two yard line. It was nice to see Grant get the TD as he only had five a season ago and needs to improve on that total.
If Grant can deliver for fantasy owners for touchdowns he will be a very valuable third or fourth round pick in this year draft.
Brady Quinn distances himself from Derek Anderson
This was an interesting one as Brady Quinn started the game and went 3 of 5 passing for 27 yards as he lead the team down for a field goal try (Phil Dawson missed it). Then we saw Derek Anderson come in and he played two series that may have been his undoing in Cleveland.
In that time he was 0 for 2 passing and threw and interception, this was so bad that new head coach Eric Mangini pulled Derek from the game and put Quinn back in.
Brady proceeded to drive the team down the field and should of thrown a touchdown pass but Braylon Edwards and his hands of stone dropped the ball. Then on the next play Quinn threw and interception as he tried to force the ball into Edwards for a touchdown again.
On the night Quinn was 7 of 11 passing for 68 yards and an interception.
Right now Brady is going to be the starting quarterback if Anderson can’t turn things around and turn it around fast.
