Eagles vs Patriots: Tom Brady Returns| Player Rankings
I don’t know where to begin with this game as it should have been all about Patriots MVP quarterback Tom Brady having a great comeback game. But in the middle of the game ESPN broke the news that Michael Vick is now a Philadelphia Eagle and has since stole the thunder away in the news headlines. While Vick’s signing is not doubt very big news one can’t help but feel that he will be nothing more then a player the Eagles will use in the wildcat and at receiver from time to time.
Donovan McNabb is entrenched as the starting quarterback and I don’t believe he will be very upset that Vick will be on the team. That is unless the team didn’t inform McNabb that they were in fact going to make this deal.
LeSean McCoy looks good in first game
LeSean McCoy seemed to make a positive yard in just about every carry he had for the Eagles as the starting running back tonight. Not only did LeSean do a good job on the ground but he also showed off his receiving skills with 2 catches for 12 yards.
True he did have one reception that went for negative seven yards but his other one was a nice 19 yard catch.
Look for this running back to be healthy involved in this offense in 2009 as Westbrook will need someone to help share the load with him after ankle surgery. Tom Brady is Back! Outside of his interception Brady look like he never missed last season with a knee injury. Twice in the first half he lead the team down the field and chucked in two touchdowns to tight end Chris Baker. Baker came over this offseason from the New York Jets as the talented tight end Dustin Keller is now entrenched as the start. Baker will no doubt play second fiddle to Ben Watson in this offense but at least in New England they can do a good job giving two tight ends the rock.
Look for Tom Brady to be just fine this season as he looked great and is ready to be an MVP quarterback again. Oh and he probably won’t be that bad of a fantasy football player as well.
