Rams vs Bengals: Samkon Gado Scores Twice | Player Rankings
The Rams and Bengals faced off in the third week of the preseason and this game was more about surprise role players than star talents. I was hoping to see Carson Palmer return and play the first half but unfortunately that did not happen. Steven Jackson also only played a short time but in the end we know his abilities so it was not that important to see him play more.
Samkon Gado Scores Twice
After Jackson’s short night Samkon Gado came in a showed us why he would be worth a waiver pickup if Jackson goes down with an injury this year again. Gado in his own right did not play a lot in this one as well but he did have five carries for 33 yards and a rushing touchdown. He also had one reception for two yards and it was good for a touchdown as well.
It’s been a few years since Gado had his emergence into the league back in 2005 when he was the talk of the second half of the season in the NFL. Since that time Gado has bounced around the league landing with the Texans, Dolphins and now the Rams but he still has talent to produce if given an opportunity.
Chris Henry Scores Again
This receiver has scored in every game so far in the preseason and their is no doubt in my mind that he is going to have a strong impact for the Bengals this year. In OTA’s the word out of Cincinnati was that Chris Henry was looking very good in practice. At that time I really didn’t think much of it because Chris has been a disappointment from off the field problems.
At this point in time it looks like this young receiver is in deed ready to be a producer and I wouldn’t be surprised if he continues this strong play into the regular season.
