Washington Redskins v Baltimore Ravens

Not to much to report on this preseason game as the Ravens shut out the Redskins in both teams first action of the year. But there are a few notables and to be honest with you they are not the exciting kind, when it comes to fantasy football. Willis McGahee is not done yet This summer the talk out of Baltimore was that the Ravens were using Ray Rice in the first team offense and Willis McGahee was having knee problems. Well tonight I was surprised to see McGahee out their playing in the first quarter of the game as he didn’t play to bad. AFC Championship: Baltimore Ravens v Pittsburgh Steelers

Willis had four carry’s for 26 total yards and had a very nice 16 yard run as the highlight play for his night.

If this running back can stay healthy for the season and play the way he did tonight then the Ravens running situation will be a total quagmire.

Jason Campbell is not Wowing the Crowd

It may not have been a home game but Jason Campbell needs to start showing more then just steady average play for the Redskins. He was heavily criticized this offseason as the franchise made a move to try and get Jay Cutler from the Broncos via trade.

This year Jason is going to have to step it up and show that he is ready to lead this team to the playoffs in 2009. If he can not deliver this season I would expect the Redskins to have them selves a new quarterback next year.

In the end the Redskins didn’t even score a point tonight and while Jason obviously was not fully to blame for the end result, he will be a player the media focuses on for the end result.
