Houston Texans v Kansas City Chiefs

While the Chiefs didn’t really do anything much in this game I was jazzed to see Matt Schaub and the Texans role right off the bat in their first preseason game. Matt looked like he didn’t miss a beat since the end of last season as the offense looks better then ever.

Matt Cassel and the Chiefs Still need work

I will give this offense a pass for the first game as this game was a total down poor of rain and it’s not easy to pass in that type of weather. Matt Cassel was 2 of 5 passing for 15 yards and for my money I would have liked to of seen him play more in this game.

This offense needs to get it’s timing down as they have a new quarterback and are without tight end Tony Gonzalez.

Hopefully next week we can see the first team offense play more and without the down poor of rain as well.

Schaub looks good even in bad weather

I’ve been talking up this offense for this season all offseason and Matt Schaub is making me look good already. In a game with very bad conditions Matt still went 7 fo 7 passing for 70 yards passing.

Houston Texans v Kansas City Chiefs

He didn’t throw a touchdown in his short work but he did lead the team down for Chris Brown to plunge in for a td run.

Look for the Texans offense to role this season as they should make a run for the playoffs in 2009.
