Buccaneers vs Cowboys: Tony Romo Goes Wild | Player Rankings
This has been a highly anticipated season for the Dallas Cowboys. In week one they traveled to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers. While I did figure Dallas would win this game, I didn’t think they would post 34 points.
Tony Romo Has Big Day
In Romo’s first opportunity to shine without TO, he posted 3 touchdowns and 353 yards passing. Not only did he produce strong numbers, but he found No. 1 receiver Roy Williams for 86 yards and a touchdown.
While it was great to see Romo have a big day, I do believe the Cowboys will be a run first offense most of the year.
One player to look for on the waiver wire is receiver Patrick Crayton as he posted 135 yards and a touchdown today. Crayton (the No.2 receiver in this offense) should make for a good bye week fill in.
Cadallac Williams Runs Well
It’s been a very up and down career for Carnell “Cadillac” Williams. This running back has suffered two nasty injuries only to come back and be the Buccaneers opening day starter.
For the game Williams ran well with 97 yards rushing and a touchdown.
Now, the Buccaneers have three good running backs, but Williams should make for a good bye week fill in player.
Buccaneers Defense Needs Work
The Buccaneers defense sure looks like it is feeling the effects of the losses they’ve had this off season. Until this teams secondary can play better, look for teams to attack them down the field.
