Cowboys vs Giants: Mario Manningham Breaks Out | NFL Player Rankings
Eli Manning Impressive in Win
Much has been made about Eli Manning this offseason now that Plaxico Burriss is not on the team. With a bunch of unproven but talented young receivers, it’s no wonder Manning wasn’t drafted in many fantasy leagues.
In this game, we may have found Manning’s new top targets as Mario Manningham and Steve Smith both had great games. Both Manningham and Smith had ten catches a piece and had a touchdown.
They also both went over 130 yards receiving and are hot prospects on the waiver wire this week.
At this point in time, if you need help at receiver or quarterback you should give strong consideration to these players for your waiver picks this week.
Tony Romo Picked Three Times
The Cowboys’ offense ran the ball great, and it looked like they would be the winners, throughout the game. However, Tony Romo was back to his foolish ways and was picked off three times on the night.
One of the interceptions was just tough luck as the ball bounced off Jason Witten’s shoe and into the defenders’ hands.
It was the final interception down the field late in the game that disappointed me the most. In a time like that the quarterback needs to be more careful with the football. If you’re going to throw down the field like that, you better make sure it doesn’t get in the defenders hands.
Felix Jones Could Start
Felix Jones was great in his short work this week. Marion Barber was injured late in the game and may miss a week or two with a quad injury. If he is out than Jones will probably run wild for a few weeks.
