Houston Texans Training Camp

The Buccaneers and Texans rested most of their starters in this one, just like many teams in the NFL. In a game like this it was time for the backups to prove why they belong on the roster.

Jacoby Jones Breaks Out

Third year receiver Jacoby Jones showed us his electric talent when he can get into the open field. For the game Jones was three catches for 148 yards and one touchdown. The highlight play was his touchdown catch that was from a distance of 87 yards out.

While this is a great game for the young receiver we still need to see him perform at a consistent level in the regular season.

Houston Texans v Tampa Bay Buccaneers

I don’t believe Jones will ever be a great fantasy receiver but he could help Matt Schaub be a more valuable fantasy quarterback. If Jones can make the occasional big play, like he did tonight than Schaub should have a stronger season.

Buccaneers Report

The Buccaneers didn’t do very much in this game as the starters were out and the younger players were on the field.

Houston Texans v Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This week the Bucs fired their offensive coordinator and I’m really not sure how this team is going to have success this season, on offense. Look for the Bucs to move the ball but struggle with consistency and converting drives into touchdowns.
