Titans vs Texans: Chris Johnson 3 TD’s, Matt Schaub 5 | NFL Player Rankings
Chris Johnson Goes Wild
This was the kind of stat line that should only happen on a video game. While fantasy owners will take every touchdown, the Texans’ defense should be embarrassed. How can you let this guy have this kind of game against you?
Anyway, it looks like Johnson is ready to shine once again for fantasy owners after his slow first game against the Steelers. Look for Johnson to continue to produce good numbers over the season, and he should be a top five fantasy pick next year.
Matt Schaub Saves the Day
I picked the Texans to make it into the playoffs as a wild card this offseason. If they were, in fact, finally going to get to the post season, they needed to win this game. Last week the Texans were embarrassed at home against the Jets and this week started out no better.
It did not seem to matter how many big touchdowns the Titans had, as Matt Schaub kept leading his team to touchdowns.
The Titans were obsessed with stopping running back Steve Slaton as he had two 100 yard rushing days against them last year. Seeing that Slaton was the only runner to have a 100 yard rushing day against them last year, it was understandable that they wanted to stop him.
Unfortunately, to stop Slaton meant leaving themselves susceptible to the big play down the field. Because of this, Andre Johnson and Jacoby Jones had huge days.
Look for Slaton to get his year on track against the Jaguars suspect defense next week.
