Dolphins- Jets: Braylon Edwards Scores in First Game with Jets | NFL Player Rankings

New York Jets v Miami Dolphins

Tonight was Braylon Edwards first game with his new team the New York Jets. Edwards had a great showing but at the end of the day it was the Dolphins that would win the game.

Braylon Edwards Impresses

In the end Edwards probably should have had two touchdowns for the game, but he would have to settle for one. His official stats were five catches for 64 yards and a touchdown.

Edwards looks like a new man and his fantasy football value is officially out of the gutter. Tonight, Edwards looked like the receiver we all saw in 2007 and Mark Sanchez confidence in his new receiver grew as the game went on.

Head coach Rex Ryan said he wanted Edwards because he can stretch the field and score in the red zone. It looks like Ryan is a straight shooter as this is exactly how he wants to use his new top receiver.

Edwards is now worth starting in all fantasy football formats again.

Ronnie Brown and the Wild Cat Offense

It was fun to watch Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams work in the Dolphins wild cat offense. For the game, both running backs had over 68 yards rushing each. Brown had two touchdowns and the final one put the game away with seven seconds left.

The Dolphins are now 2-0 with Chad Henne starting under center and this young man looks like a winner. He made a very nice deep throw down the field to Ted Ginn Jr. and threw another td in the red zone as well.

This was a great victory for the Dolphins, and now they are standing in at 2-3 on the season. Remember last year they won the division and started out 2-4. It looks like there is still a lot of football left in the AFC East.
