Eagles: Jeremy Maclin to Start Again | NFL Football Rankings
The Eagles spent a first round pick on Missouri’s stand out Jeremy Maclin this past NFL draft. This week, Maclin is expected to get his second consecutive start for the team as veteran Kevin Curtis is battling a knee problem.
In Maclin’s first start, he had four receptions but only totaled 33 yards. This receiver should have a stronger yards per catch in the future as he is a speed burner and makes big plays.
McNabb is Back
Although Kevin Kolb did a very good job in Donovan McNabb’s absence, McNabb is back and will start. I believe Maclin could find more success with McNabb because a veteran quarterback can pick up his second, third and forth receiving options on any play.
At some point, I expect defenses to try and take Jackson out of the game, since he has been on fire to start the season. If that is the case than McNabb will need to find success with receivers like Maclin to have fantasy football success and team success.
Jeremy Maclin’s Fantasy Football Ranking
Right now, Maclin’s value is probably best served to help McNabb be a more valuable fantasy football quarterback. We need to see if Maclin can start putting together consistent play as a starter.
Even if Maclin is not a fantasy worthy receiver right now, if he can remain the starter, it will help his fantasy football value in years to come.
If Maclin should put together a strong game or two at some point this season you might try keeping him on your roster. This season has been horrible for receiver play (two years in a row) for fantasy football.
Anyone that can give you weekly production is a valuable commodity this fantasy football season.
