Falcons- Bears: Falcons Win Close One | NFL Player Rankings
Both teams came into this game with the idea of shutting the opponents running game down. Stopping the run would put the ball in the quarterback hands as both defense hoped to force the opponent into mistakes.
Cutler and Ryan Duel for a Win
Early in the game the Falcons got off to a slow start but in the 2nd quarter Matt Ryan started running a no huddle offense. This caught the Bears’ defense off guard and the Falcons capitalized with a 40 yard touchdown pass to Roddy White.
Jay Cutler would not be out done as he led his team back to a 14 all tie late in the 2nd half of the game.
Just after Cutler tied up the game Ryan led his offense down for a five yard touchdown run from Turner. This would be the game winner as Cutler and the Bears’ offense were stopped inside the red zone trying to tie the game up.
The Falcons are now 4-1 on the season, and they are only one game back of the undefeated New Orleans Saints for the NFC South division lead.
