Jerome Harrison a Starting Fantasy Back | NFL Football Rankings

Bengals-Browns

This weekend Jerome Harrison has a golden opportunity to help fantasy football owners and his team. With Jamal Lewis likely out with a hamstring injury and rookie James Davis now placed on injured reserve, Harrison will be the feature back on Sunday.

Harrison is a good enough runner to carry the football 20 times this weekend, but he is also very talented in the passing game. The Browns’ are matched up against the Bengals this week, and they will need a strong game from this runner to compete.

Should Harrison Start for Fantasy Teams?

Right now, Harrison is making for a great bye week fill in for your fantasy football team. Since bye weeks last for about seven weeks it’s always good to have players like Harrison around to use in a pinch.

Few running backs have the opportunity to be the feature runner on a given team these days and Harrison should have that chance in week four.

Unfortunately, Harrison is on a team that is not producing much fantasy production, but I do believe they will have a spirited game tomorrow.

Fantasy Football Ranking for Jerome Harrison

If Harrison should have good production this week, I believe he will be the starting tailback in Cleveland for the rest of the season. Just before week one began the Browns almost cut Lewis, and he is definitely not in the teams future plans.

The key for Harrison’s rise in value is the news today that the Browns placed Davis on IR. Davis was expected to take over as the teams starting tailback at some point this season.

I’m not sure if Davis’s shoulder injury was because of the car wreak, he was in just before the season started but either way he is done.

Look for Harrison as a sneaky waiver pickup and start this week, if you need some help. He probably won’t make for a good start every week, but in games like this one he can help for fantasy football team.
