Saints and Falcons to Duke it Out in the South | NFL Football Rankings
With the Buccaneers and Panthers still looking for wins it looks like the NFC South is going to be won between the Falcons and Saints. Right now, the Saints are in the lead as they are a perfect 4 and 0 this season.
This season the big news in New Orleans is Greg Williams defense and how solid they are playing. Not only are they strong on defense, but they also have a well polished running game.
To start the season Mike Bell ran the ball strong but once Pierre Thomas was healthy he took over and has been strong against the Bills and Jets.
Drew Brees Fantasy Football Value Hurting
With productive play on the defense and in the running game, quarterback Drew Brees won’t have a season like a year ago. In the last two weeks Brees failed to throw one touchdown pass.
While fantasy football owners aren’t happy about this production, Brees and the Saints couldn’t be happier.
Falcons will Hang Tough
This week will be a big game for the Falcons as they go to San Francisco and play the 3-1 49ers. The 49ers defense is stout, and I will be interested to see if Matt Ryan can pull this win out.
Look for the Falcons to hang tough with the Saints all yearlong as they have a very balance team.
Tony Gonzalez, Roddy White and Michael Turner should continue to help fantasy football teams throughout the season.
In the end, look for both teams to have success as they should both end up in the playoffs.
