Saints- Giants: Drew Brees Lights Up Giants | NFL Player Rankings

New York Giants v New Orleans Saints

The Giants and Saints matched up for bragging rights and possibly home field in the playoffs. Both teams came into this contest undefeated but only the Saints would stay that way in this one. While the Giants did score 27-points, the game was never really close as the Saints scored 48.

Drew Brees Lights it Up

This week Tom Brady may have up staged Drew Brees with his six touchdowns but Mr. Brees had a great week. For the game, Brees produced 369 yards passing and 4 touchdown passes on only 23 completions.

This was a big game for fantasy football owners with Brees as he had two hard games before this one.

Look for Brees to have big games this year, but I would suspect he will have a few more bad ones as well. When the team doesn’t need to throw to win, he won’t produce, just like in the Bills and Jets matchups.

Brandon Jacobs Continues to Struggle

It is time to be concerned about Brandon Jacobs as fellow running back Ahmad Bradshaw out played him again. Not only did Bradshaw has more rushing attempts and yards, but he found the end zone as well.

Jacobs did leave with a stinger at one point and the team was playing from behind for almost the entire game.

If you have other options that are producing for your fantasy football team you might want to bench Jacobs for awhile.
