Texans-49ers:Michael Crabtree has Five Catches | NFL Player Rankings
Oct 26th, 2009 | By Fantasy Info | Category: AFC South, Houston Texans, NFC West, NFL, San Francisco 49ersAfter the first half of this game, it looked like the 49ers were headed to another blow out loss. However, the team fought back and made the game interesting at the end.
Michael Crabtree Plays Entire Game
What may be more impressive than Michael Crabtree’s five catches in his first game is that he played almost every snap on offense. This kid is fantasy worthy right now as he catches everything thrown his way.
It’s almost amazing to see this young receiver play the way he did today given the fact that he has missed so much time.
Look for Crabtree to start for the 49ers for the rest of the season and catch a bunch of passes.
Alex Smith is Back
Head coach Mike Singletary made a change at half time and benched quarterback Shaun Hill in favor of Alex Smith. Smith was the 49ers former first overall pick back in 2005 and got his first chance to play since two years ago.
For the entire second half Smith played strong and threw three touchdowns to tight end Vernon Davis.
In the end, the 49ers lost 24-21 but it looks like Smith will probably be the starter next week against the Colts.
Steve Slaton Scores Twice
Texans top runner Steve Slaton may not be producing in a pretty way this season, but he’s getting the job done. In Slaton’s past four games, he has five touchdowns and seems to be playing better.
I like the way the Texans are using Slaton in the passing game of late, and he did have two touchdowns inside the ten yard line.
Look for Slaton to have another solid game against the Buffalo Bills next week.
