49ers- Packers: We Have a Greg Jennings Sighting | NFL Fantasy Football Rankings
Nov 22nd, 2009 | By Fantasy Info | Category: Green Bay Packers, NFC North, NFC West, NFL, San Francisco 49ersThis season has been a very disappointing year for fantasy football owners that selected Greg Jennings. It seems that Jennings has been non existent this year, but today he finally had a big day.
Rodgers to Jennings
This game was a blowout by half time but the 49ers made a strong comeback to make the game close. The Packers early lead was highlighted by a 64-yard touchdown catch from Jennings.
Finally, Aaron Rodgers was able to find No.85 and help him produce 121 yards and a score by half time. This production his been non existent from Jennings this year, and I’m not sure why Rodgers has had so much trouble finding this stud receiver.
Hopefully, this production is a sign of things to come as Jennings still has a few good matchups to take advantage of this season.
Ryan Grant Runs Out Second Half
The Packers lend on their running game heavily in the second half of the game. Ryan Grant rushed the football 21 times for 129 yards and a touchdown. This was a solid performance from the Packers feature running back.
Look for Grant to continue his solid play on Thanksgiving when the Packers take on the Lions.
Crabtree Has a Solid Game
Michael Crabtree has done nothing but prove he is going to be a solid pro receiver, since he signed with the 49ers. In this game Crabtree scored his first touchdown of the season and had four catches for 77 yards.
What probably continues to impress me most about this young receiver is his hands. On Crabtree’s touchdown catch, he made a very nice play on the ball and came down with the football with both hands.
Crabtree will be at least a top 30 fantasy football receiver coming into next year.
