This was a huge game for supremacy in the AFC Western division and the Chargers dominated in this game. The end score was indicative of how this game was played as the Chargers beat the Broncos 32 to 3.

Effective Running the Ball

The Chargers have had their problems running the football this season but in this game they had no problems. No running back had over 100 yards rushing but three different runners had 48 yards or more.

If the Chargers continue to play at the level they have played the past month than they should easily win the division. As it stands right now they are in sole possession of first place.

Orton Plays

Early in the game Broncos quarterback Chris Simms got the start but was completely ineffective and was pulled before half time. The Broncos turned to injured quarterback Kyle Orton to get things going.

While Orton did a better job moving the football it was easy to see that he was still playing on a bad ankle.

Unless Orton had a setback on his ankle injury during the game, I would expect him to play on Thanksgiving against the New York Giants.
