Chiefs- Raiders: Jamaal Charles Steps Up for Chiefs | NFL Fantasy Football Rankings
The Kansas City Chiefs have continued to fight all season long, and today they pulled out a victory against the Raiders. This victory is a testament to a team that hasn’t given up on their coaches’ message and are starting to play some good football.
Jamaal Charles Steps Up
At least for this week the Chiefs’ ownership can feel good about the way their young running backs played. Last week the team released Larry Johnson after his comments on Twitter that stirred up the NFL.
Charles blasted through the Raiders’ defense for an explosive 44-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. For the game Charles had 18 carries for 103 yards and the touchdown score.
Look for Charles to continue to be the main man in the Chiefs’ committee at running back as we go forward. The Chiefs haven’t given up on their coaching staff, and I believe they will continue to play competitively in the future.
Michael Bush Goes Over 100 Yards
The Raiders can’t seem to figure out who they want to have as their top running back on their team. Between Michael Bush, Justin Fargas and Darren McFadden it seems a new runner steps up at different times of the year.
Bush had a strong game today with over 100 yards today, but I don’t believe he can repeat it next week.
Stay away from the Raiders for fantasy football options for a few more weeks and see if something shakes out down the road.
