Chiefs- Steelers: Kanas City Wins in Over Time | NFL Fantasy Football Rankings
This was supposed to be a blowout victory for the Steelers as they played the lonely Chiefs in Kansas City. At the end of the game it was the Chiefs that had the last laugh as they beat the Steelers in overtime.
Chris Chambers Makes Big Play
This wasn’t a pretty win for the Chiefs’ offense, but they will take it none the less. One play that helped put the game away was Chris Chambers fabulous catch and run in overtime for a 61 yard pass play.
Chambers has helped this team, since he came on board just three weeks ago and had a 119 yard receiving game in this one. This performance was even more meaningful when you consider that Dwayne Bowe was out of the game after being suspended four games for substance abuse.
Having Chambers on the field helps the Chiefs sustain a passing game, and it showed at the end to put this game away.
Look for Chambers to continue his solid play as he will get many targets from Matt Cassel going forward.
Ben Roethlisberger Goes Down
In overtime Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger went down with a concussion and didn’t return to the game. This injury may have cost the Steelers a victory as they stalled on their overtime drive when he left the field.
For the game Roethlisberger was having another fine performance with 398 yards passing and three touchdown passes.
Hopefully, Roethlisberger will be available for the Steelers next game against the Ravens.
