Texans- Bills: Ryan Moats Scores Three Times | NFL Player Rankings

Houston Texans v Buffalo Bills

It’s amazing how fast fantasy football values can change for a player on one play. Steve Slaton was primed for a big day but fumbled the football in the first quarter. After the fumble Slaton was benched for the rest of the game and Ryan Moats took over.

Another player that suffered a fantasy value change was Texans tight end Owen Daniels. Daniels suffered a knee injury, and it now looks like he may have suffered a torn acl. This would effectively end Daniels great season and would be a major blow to fantasy owners.

Ryan Moats Runs Wild

Moats was given an opportunity to produce as the Texans feature runner, and he didn’t disappoint his team. For the game Moats had 126 yards rushing on 23 carries and totaled three touchdowns.

Moats also flashed his receiving skills with two catches for 25 yards in the passing game.

At this time, look for Moats as a nice waiver wire pickup as he has definitely earned himself playing time in the future.

Slaton should still see time but one has to believe that every time he fumbles the football he will be benched for the rest of the game. Seeing that Slaton has lost fumbles in five of his first eight games this year, he is very likely to be benched more.

Slaton is NOT worth starting on your fantasy football roster at this time. Now that he has been benched for an entire game (and Moats strong production), fantasy owners can’t trust Slaton.

Slaton is now an official bust for the 2009 fantasy football season and should be drafted much lower than the first two rounds next year.
