49ers- Cardinals: Frank Gore Bounces Back | NFL Fantasy Football Rankings

Arizona Cardinals v San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers fell on hard times last week when they lost to the Seahawks and the Cardinals beat the Vikings. With that unfortunate break, the 49ers basically lost the division title hopes they figured they might get with a win in this game.

49ers Rock Candlestick

Even though the 49ers were basically out of the playoffs going into this game, they beat the junk out of the Cardinals for the second time this season. For the game, the 49ers forced seven turnovers on the Cardinals and got up to a 17 to nothing lead going into half time.

Not only did the 49ers defense play its best game on Monday night but Frank Gore came back to life for fantasy owners with 25 carries for 167 yards rushing and a touchdown that put the game away.

This was a great effort from Gore as he’s been horrible the past three weeks with very little production for fantasy owners.

Expect Gore to have a much stronger finish to the fantasy season than he had before this game.

Smith to Crabtree

Alex Smith seems to throw to two players almost all game long, and they are Vernon Davis and rookie Michael Crabtree. Davis picked up another touchdown early in this game as he now as eleven on the season and is a shoe in for the pro bowl this year.

Crabtree has put together a very impressive rookie season since his signing in October. In this game Crabtree was targeted ten times by Smith and caught five of them for 67 yards and a very nice 35-yards catch and run touchdown.

Look for Crabtree to have a good end to the season as he plays the Eagles, Lions and Rams the final three weeks of the NFL season.

Kurt Warner and the Cardinals Play Very Bad

This was not the performance fantasy football owners needed from their respective Cardinals’ players with the playoffs starting this week. The only player that had a solid night in this game was Chris Beanie Wells as he had 79 yards rushing and a touchdown.

Other than Wells the rest of the Cardinals’ offense took the night off and had a horrible performance.

Fortunately for the Cardinals and fantasy owners with Larry Fitzgerald it looks like his knee injury is only a bone bruise It looked like the injury could be more as he was taken to the locker from for further testing, but he did come back in the game.

Look for the Cardinals to rebound big in the next two weeks as the face the Lions and Rams.
