Cardinals- Lions: Chris Beanie Wells Helps Put Game Away | NFL Fantasy Rankings

Arizona Cardinals v Detroit Lions

The Cardinals needed a win and a 49ers loss to clinch the NFC Western Division this week and that is exactly what they got. While the Cardinals did win the game it wasn’t a blowout like many would imagine.

Lions Play Tough

The first two and a half quarters of this game the Cardinals defense completely dominated the Lions in every way. But on one play the Lions got back in the game on a 101 yard interception return by a Lions secondary player for a touchdown.

On the Lions next possession, new starting running back Maurice Morris busted a 60 plus yard touchdown run to put the team within a field goal of tying the game.

The Lions would go on to lose the game 31 to 24 but this team must be proud of the way they played.

Beanie Wells Produces

In a close game rookie running back Chris Beanie Wells took over late and scored on an 18-yard touchdown run and had another 40 plus yard run to help put the game away.

This was the kind of performance that fantasy football owners with Wells have been waiting for all year. For the game Wells had his first hundred yard rushing game with 110 yards and the touchdown score.

On Wells last rush he banged his head and hopefully he will be ok for next week against the Rams. Assuming he plays next week, expect him to have another strong game for fantasy football.
