The Cowboys were playing for their playoff lives and the Saints were trying to stay undefeated and continue their cinderella season. Unfortunately, for the Saints they fell behind by half time 17 to 3 and could come back to win this game.

Tony Romo & Cowboys Win Big Game

Finally, Tony Romo and the Cowboys won a big game in December as they are now nine and five on the season. For the game Romo played a near perfect game as he threw for 312 yards, a touchdown and no turnovers.

Romo was helped once again by emerging star receiver Miles Austin, who had an early 49-yard touchdown catch and finished the game with seven catches for 139 and the score.

Not only did the Cowboys throw the football well on offense, but they ran the football with Marion Barber and Felix Jones. Unlike last week Barber was able to convert at the goal line for touchdowns as he helped his team build on their lead.

Look for the Cowboys to play another spirited game next week against the Washington Redskins. If they win that game they will have ten wins for the season and should have a very good chance to make the post season.

Brees Not Sharpe Until 4th Quarter

Before Drew Brees threw his final two passes of the third quarter he only had 127 yards passing and zero passing yards in the third quarter.

Brees and the Saints’ offense played another strong fourth quarter as they scored two touchdowns and got back in the game.

If this team is going to make it to the Super Bowl and win, they need to have better starts to games. If not, I don’t believe this team will even make it to the NFC Championship game.
