Eagles- Broncos: Denver Drops Another Close Game | NFL Fantasy Football Rankings
The Eagles broke out of a solid lead but the Broncos fought back to tie the game at 27 to 27. In the end, the Broncos fell to the Eagles on a field goal at the end of the game.
McNabb to Jackson
The Eagles connection of Donovan McNabb to DeSean Jackson has to be on of the best in fantasy football. These two have a very good rhythm together and it should only get better next year when Jackson goes into his third year in the league.
Look for the Eagles to have another solid game next week against the Cowboys in a very big matchup for both teams.
McNabb and Jackson will be in the top eight of their respective positions ranked in fantasy drafts next season.
David Akers Produces Again
The Eagles kicker David Akers has had a fine fantasy season and today in the fantasy playoffs he gave his team and fantasy owners another productive game. With three field goals in this contest he has shown once again that his coaches will go to him when needed.
That is about all a fantasy owner can ask for as a kicker needs opportunities to produce. Look for Akers to be a top five fantasy kicker coming into 2o1o.
Kyle Orton Leads Comeback
Brandon Marshall had another eight receptions in this game but the Eagles did a great job of shutting him down to small receptions. In all his receptions, Marshall only had a total of 39 yards receiving and zero touchdowns.
With Marshall having problems with coverage, and Brandon Stokley ejected from the game, Kyle Orton leaned on Jabar Gaffney for two touchdown scores.
The Broncos still have a chance to make the playoffs but they have to beat he Chiefs and get help next week.
Matt Prater Good Again
Matt Prater is a stealer six for six in his past two games and that is a very productive number to have for the fantasy playoffs. Prater can be sporadic but this season he’s been a steady kicker. This makes Prater worth having as a fantasy kicker.
