Giants- Redskins: Fred Davis Continues Solid Play | NFL Fantasy Football Rankings

New Orleans Saints v Washington Redskins

The Giants needed to win this football game to stay just one game behind the Cowboys in their chase for the playoffs. Not only did the Giants win but the embarrassed the Redskins with a 45 to 12 victory.

Fred Davis Continues Hot Play

The one bright spot for the Redskins was the play of their emerging second year tight end Fred Davis. For the fourth week in a row Davis had a touchdown catch and at least over 40 yards receiving.

In the past month Davis has only had one game with less than four catches. Since Davis took over for Chris Cooley (injured) in week seven he has six touchdowns and almost 400 yards receiving.

Don’t be surprised if Davis is the starting tight end for this team next year and Cooley is on another team.

Giants Defense Comes Back to Life

The Giants’ defense has struggled mightily this year, but tonight they dominated on the front line. We will find out if they can do it again next week against the Panthers in New York.

Redskins' Jason Campbell is sacked in Landover, Maryland

That won’t be an easy game for them as the Panthers are hot off of beating the Vikings and playing the Patriots tough in New England.

Look for the Panthers to test this defense with Steve Smith down the field.

Eli Manning Plays Well Again

Giants’ quarterback Eli Manning had another great fantasy football game as he threw for three touchdowns and 268 yards passing.

Manning is on a roll, and I would expect him to continue his solid play against the Panthers solid pass defense next week.
