Panthers- Giants: Jonathan Stewart Smokes Giants | NFL Fantasy Football Rankings

Carolina Panthers v New York Giants

The Panthers came off their big win against the Vikings with another blowout victory over the Giants in New York. This game was the final football contest in the historic Meadowlands Stadium as the Jets and Giants will be playing in a new stadium next year.

Unfortunately, the Giants couldn’t let their fans finish their final game in their old place on a positive note as they lost 41 to 9.

Matt Moore the New Panthers Starter?

If Matt Moore isn’t starting over Jake Delhomme to begin next year he probably will be in not that long of time. Delhomme had a horrible season and Moore has had a great end to this year.

Fantasy football owners can now draft a player like Steve Smith next year with confidence that if Delhomme can’t get it done, Moore can make Smith very productive.

Speaking of productive, Jonathan Stewart had a huge game with over 200 yards rushing and a touchdown in this game. Stewart was giving a chance to get the full load with DeAngelo Williams out with an ankle injury.

Look for the Panthers to bounce back next year and make a strong run for the playoffs.

Giants Lose Very Badly

Not only did the Giants lose out on finishing strong in their old stadium, but they also were knocked out of the playoffs.

This was a horrible game that will sit with this team for a very long time. I still believe this team can bounce back next year, but I’m not sure players like Brandon Jacobs will be productive on this team (or any team) again.

Look for this team to make some changes in the off season but Eli Manning and his receivers should still have good years in 2010.
