Steelers- Packers: Ben Roethlisberger Leads Thrilling Win | NFL Fantasy Rankings

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Green Bay Packers

The Steelers seemed to come into this game with the idea of wanting to throw the football early and often. That game plan was just good enough for a victory on the final play of the game.

Big Ben Goes Pass Happy

Ben Roethlisberger bounced back this week and threw for over 500 yards passing and three touchdowns. This was a massive game for the Steelers quarterback and was also an unexpected game, since he’s been a poor performer of late.

If you had him started in your fantasy football lineup this week you enjoyed one of the best games this quarterback will ever have. A 500 yard passing day is very rare and an NFL quarterback may do that once in a career.

Hines Ward, Santonio Holmes and Mike Wallace all had solid fantasy games as this was a pass happy craze fest.

Look for the Steelers to continue their pass happy ways next week against the Ravens in a very big game.

Aaron Rodgers Has Big Game

Steelers vs. Packers

Not only did Aaron Rodgers have a strong performance but fantasy football owners also saw receiver Greg Jennings have a big game.

Rodgers threw three touchdown passes and ran one in as the Packers were playing from behind most of the game.

Early on Jennings scored a huge touchdown on an 83-yard catch and run that helped fantasy owners (that actually started him) win their week.

Rodgers also found fellow receivers Jordy Nelson (4 catches for 71 yards), James Jones (2 catches, 39 yards and a touchdown) and tight end Jermichael Finley (nine catches, 74 yards and a touchdown) throughout the game.

Oh and don’t forget Donald Driver who also had over 70 yards in the game as well. Put it all together and Aaron Rodgers has the best receiving core in the NFL. Expect him to have a great run in fantasy football for the next three to six years.

Look for the Packers to come out and win next week against the Seahawks as they are still very much in the playoff race.

Mason Crosby Misses Only Opportunity

If Mason Crosby made his only field goal try the Packers would have won this high scoring marathon. Instead Crosboy always seems to miss the important kicks and the Packers lost.

Some have called for Crosby to lose his job because of his inconsistent ways and this season he’s missed some key opportunities. Still this kid has talent and if he ever figures his problems out he could be the top fantasy kicker in the NFL.
