Jets- Bengals: Jets Are in the Playoffs | NFL Fantasy Football Rankings
A few weeks ago the playoffs looked like an impossibility for the New York Jets but with the Colts and Bengals resting players for the playoffs, they’ve now found themselves in a show down with the Bengals again next week.
A Different Story Next Week?
The Bengals didn’t play Cedric Benson in this game as they are clearly resting him for a huge effort next week. Deciding not to play Benson was probably the Bengals smartest move this week as it will allow their stud runner to be fully rested coming into the playoffs.
If the Bengals hope to win against the Jets, they will need to control the game on the ground and get out to a first half lead.
In doing so, they will eventually force the game into Jets rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez’s hands and that will allow the Bengals to create turnovers.
This is the Bengals best chance at winning, and I do believe they will do just that as they are at home and the Jets can be beaten in the running game.
Winning In Blowout Fashion
The Jets clearly have the best pass defense in all of football and top corner Darrelle Revis is the best corner in all of football (sorry Charles Woodson).
If Revis had a bad game this year I would like to know what game that was because he shut down the best fantasy football receivers in the NFL all yearlong. With a resume, that saw Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson, Randy Moss (twice), Steve Smith (Car) and Roddy White all go down, this corner is truly the most feared player for fantasy owners, respective receivers, to face.
Look for Revis to be a force again next year as he continues to craft his game and get better. Oh, and another thing I like about this kid is he doesn’t seem to run his mouth all the time. Being humble and working on your craft is always the best way to go.
