Ravens- Raiders: Willis McGahee Goes Off | NFL Fantasy Football Rankings

Baltimore Ravens v Oakland Raiders

The Ravens needed to win this game in order to make the playoffs for the second year in a row. While the Raiders kept the victory under ten points in the end, it was the Ravens that controlled the game all day long.

Willis McGahee Runs Well

This was a big game for Willis McGahee and this performance probably doesn’t sit well for fantasy football owners with Ray Rice. In fantasy, many owners wouldn’t have McGahee in their fantasy lineups but Rice is one of the more valuable fantasy players in the league.

For the game McGahee only had sixteen carries, but he ran for 167 yards and had three rushing touchdowns. Rice, on the other hand, had fourteen carries and 70 yards rushing for the game and zero touchdowns.

McGahee will probably be gone this offseason so he won’t be around to hurt Rice’s fantasy football value going into next year.

Look for Rice to be a top four or five fantasy pick in many fantasy football leagues next year.

Raiders Play Hard But Fall Short

No one can deny that the Raiders have played hard to end this season, and they also have an ability to play well against good football teams.

In this game, the Ravens took away the Raiders’ ability to run the football and thus took away this teams chances to dictate the game.

Look for the Raiders to have a new quarterback starting for the team (other than Jamarcus Russell) next year.
