Saints-Vikings: Saints Win in Overtime | NFL Playoff Fantasy Football
This game had star power on both sides of the football as this matchup promised to have lots of scoring. In the end, both teams did put up good numbers, but it was the Saints’ game to win in over time.
Brees and Defense Get It Done
Saints’ quarterback Drew Brees didn’t have a spectacular game, but he did throw three touchdown passes and led his team down the field for a game winning field goal. While Brees struggled at times, it was the Saints’ defense that made big play after big play in this game. The biggest turnover this defense made had to be its final one as Brett Favre threw an interception with less than a minute to go in regulation.
Peterson Score Three and Fumbles Three
Adrian Peterson finally had the big game his team needed as he rushed for over 100 yards and scored three touchdowns. Unfortunately, Peterson also fumbled the football three times and one of them was down by the goal line. Costly turnovers by Peterson and his fellow teammates cost this team a chance to play in the Super Bowl.
It will be interesting to see if Favre will return next season to give this organization another legit opportunity for a Championship. If Favre has, in fact, played his last game than he will end his career against the team he routed for as a kid.
