Sam Bradford To Top Jimmy Clausen | 2010 NFL Draft Projections
Injury seems to be the key word when describing the top two quarterbacks that will be selected at this years’ draft. It was injury that ruined Sam Bradford’s return to Oklahoma and caused some concern about his health going forward.
Now, it is injury that is seriously limiting Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen as he is still recovering from his nasty toe turf injury. Clausen sustained the toe injury early in the 2009 college season and fought through the ailment to lead his team.
Turf toe has a tendency to give a person problems for quite some time and that is why Clausen won’t be doing much if any work for scouts before the draft. While the injury should be healed by the summer, Clausen will probably not do much before that time.
In Bradford case his shoulder injury required surgery by doctor James Andrews, and it looks like the shoulder should be just fine for this upcoming year.
As for the draft, it is almost curtain that Bradford will be the top quarterback and maybe the top pick at the draft. Recent reports have had the Rams now interested in Bradford, and they could decide to go with a qb over one of the two dominant defensive tackles.
Clausen, on the other hand, will go in the first round and probably in the top ten picks of the draft.
Look for both to probably be on losing teams, and hopefully they won’t get killed in their first season in the NFL.
