Anquan Boldin Goes To Baltimore Ravens | 2010 NFL Free Agency

Super Bowl XLIII

News has broken that former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin is set to pack his bags for Baltimore to play for the Ravens. Last month the Ravens signed Donte’ Stallworth to provide deep speed down the field and this opened the door for the addition of possession receiver Boldin.

The Ravens are reportedly giving up third and fourth round picks and receiving Boldin and a fifth round pick in this years’ draft.

With the addition of Boldin the Ravens now have the true No.1 receiver they have been looking for, and they now have a better chance to make it to the Super Bowl. The team may even bring back Derrick Mason but now that they have Boldin, he may not be a starter.

Look for third year quarterback Joe Flacco to get a bump in fantasy production as he now has a legit top target and a receiver to find down the field. These acquisitions should also help running back Ray Rice as defense can’t pay as much attention to the running game with the receivers this team now has.

Impact For The Cardinals

As for the Cardinals, look for Steve Breatson to get a promotion into  the starting lineup. Matt Leinart’s job just got a little harder as he doesn’t have Boldin to go with Fitzgerald. Also, expect the team to run the football with Beanie Wells to help Leinart out.
