DE Julius Peppers Headed To Chicago Bears | 2010 NFL Free Agency

Chicago Bears v Carolina Panthers

One of the big questions coming into this years free agent class was, “where would ultra talented defensive end Julius Peppers end up?” It looks like we have an answer on the first day of free agency as Peppers and the Bears have reportedly agreed to a pact on a deal.

Assuming this deal gets done, the Bears now have another impact player on their defense and that will be vitally important as they need to be strong. The offense has talent (just signed Chester Taylor), but they have obvious problems on the offensive line and are implementing a new offensive scheme.

Beyond that they don’t have anyone close to being a true legit top receiver for Jay Cutler and that won’t help them in Mike Martz timing and rhythm offense. Expect more turnovers by Cutler as the offense hashes out the problems.

With Peppers on the team, the Bears will have to do a good job at creating pressure and making turnovers in their own right.

Thank you for the feed back. Peppers should help the Bears as they needed an impact player that can make others around him better. Now Brian Urlacher doesn’t have to shoulder so much of the load upon his return.
