2010 NFL Draft Picks: Seattle Seahawks Selections – Results
Throughout the three days of the NFL draft, we will be updating this page for the Seattle Seahawks every night to give you analysis for the picks they took. On Thursday NFL teams will only select players in the first round of the draft. On Friday, they will all select their second and third round picks.
Saturday each team will finish of its draft by selecting players through rounds four to seven. Enjoy the draft and come back here later to see our take on players selected for the Seattle Seahawks.
Before The Draft: While it would be nice to use one of the Seahawks two first round picks on a playmaker, the team has major needs in other areas. Look for them to add an offensive lineman and some defensive help early.
First Round
6. Seattle Seahawks- OT Russell Okung - Matt Hasselbeck desperately needed an upgrade on the offensive line. The Seahawks probably got the best lineman in the draft as the Redskins went with Williams over Okung. Now, lets see what the Seahawks do with their second pick in a few selections.
14. Seattle Seahawks: S Earl Thomas: Great move for the Seahawks as they already added a solid offensive lineman and now they have a great secondary, impact player.
Second Round
60. Seahawks Select: WR Golden Tate - Great pick for the Seahawks as they now have a solid option opposite Houshmandzadeh. Having a speedy player with a taller physical receiver is a great fit for this team. Tate will be fantasy relevant soon.
