Matt Ryan Should Progress
The Falcons drafted a gifted quarterback a few seasons ago and his name was Matt Ryan. Now, Ryan is coming into his third season as an NFL quarterback and it should be time for him to take another step.
If the Falcons are going to return to the playoffs this season, Ryan need to lead pack. As we found out last year, their will be times when the running game isn’t strong.
This will be especially true if Michael Turner goes down for any length of time. Ryan needs to lead his team to victory when the running game is down to have a double digit winning season.
Improving The Secondary
When you’re in the same division with Drew Brees, you’re going to need a strong secondary to slow down their passing attack. Since the Falcons finished as one of the worst defenses against the pass, it was important that they upgraded.
Upgrade they did as the team signed top free agent corner back Daunta Robinson. While this is a good signing for the Falcons, they would be wise to draft more help for the secondary at the draft.
