Baltimore Ravens: Ed Dickson & Dennis Pitta Will Limit Todd Heap

With the addition of tight ends Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta the Baltimore Ravens could just do away with long time star Todd Heap. Instead of letting him go, the Ravens will probably keep him in the starter’s role as the team pushes for a Super Bowl title.

By next season, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Ravens’ part was with Heap as Dickson and Pitta will be ready for bigger roles in the offense. No matter what happens with the tight end situation, quarterback Joe Flacco stands to benefit from all the talent that has been added to the team.

Flacco should be a clear fantasy sleeper to break out and start for fantasy owners this up coming season. Dickson and Pitta will probably have to wait until next year to have fantasy value. Look for Dickson to be the favorite to fill in for Heap first as he does a better job blocking than Pitta.

Pitta has great hands and could end up being a better fantasy option in the long run but for now he is just an afterthought to fantasy owners this up coming season.
