The St. Louis Rams finally gave up on former first round defensive lineman Adam Carriker and traded him off to the Redskins. This move may clear the path for the Redskins to trade Albert Haynesworth away to the Titans this week.

This move should help Carriker if he can stay healthy because he will finally play with a respectable group of players around him. Don’t be surprised if the Redskins use him as a defensive end in their three – four defense.

As for the Rams, this move is understandable as they have been waiting on Carriker to be a viable option for their defensive line, and he’s not been reliable. Still, for a team that has so little talent, it doesn’t help to trade away players that potential could be productive players.
