Running Back Wanted
Expect the Texans to draft a running back like Ryan Mathews in the first round this April. Former starting tail back Steve Slaton will be the teams third down back, but he is still recovering from neck surgery and won’t be able to carry the full load.
If this team is going to take the next step and make the playoffs, they need a solid running game to go with their passing attack. Look for Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson to headline another top five overall offense again in 2010.
Concerns In The Texans Secondary
Houston may draft a running back early this year, but they really need another corner back. Losing Dunta Robinson to the Falcons this offseason will hurt the teams secondary and that won’t help against Peyton Manning.
While the secondary is a question mark the rest of the defense should only get better. Expect the Texans line backing core and Mario Williams to lead the way on defense once again.
