Jay Feely Signs With Arizona Cardinals

New York Jets v New England Patriots

The New York Jets threw kicker Jay Feely a curve ball when they signed Nick Folk in this offseason. After hoping for a return to the Jets this season with a new contract, the Arizona Cardinals have now locked up Feely as their new kicker.

Neil Rackers was at the end of his contract this last season and after an injury plagued ending of the season it seems the team was ready for a change. Now it is Rackers that is without a team and looking forward to playing else where.

Feely should see a bump in fantasy value now that he is playing on a better offense and in good weather with an option to play in a dome.

All the Cardinals’ home games were played with the dome closed in the past because Kurt Warner like it better that way. I remains to be seen if the team will continue to play that way without Warner as I’m sure the fans would like it open every once in awhile.

Either way Feely stands to see a good amount of opportunities as Leinart should move the football but may not convert drives into touchdowns. This will leave scoring points up to Feely.
