The Saints have partied hard after their Super Bowl victory, but I wouldn’t expect this team to have a 2010 hangover in the season. With one of the best quarterbacks in all of football and a terrific supporting cast, the Saints should roll again in 2010.

Ultimate Success
Somewhere Marty Schottenheimer is smiling after watching his former starting quarterback win the Super Bowl. It was Schottenheimer that wanted to keep Brees in San Diego and trade Philip Rivers because Brees was a proven quarterback.
Since Chargers GM A.J. Smith scrapped Brees from the team in 2006, the veteran quarterback has put up numbers that should take him to Canton as a Hall of Famer.
Expect the Saints to continue their strong offensive play once again in 2010.
Saints Defense Should Fall Back
Gregg Williams is a solid defensive coordinator, and he did a heck of a job with the talent his defense had in ’09. While the Saints’ numbers against the run, pass and scoring should stay the same and maybe improve some, I don’t believe they will score like last year.
Seasons like the Saints’ defense had a year ago only come around every so often. Look for the offense to win football games again for this team. Also, don’t pay too much for this defense on draft day.
