Seattle Seahawks: 2010 – 2011 Regular Season Schedule
A new day has dawned on the Seahawks organization as coach Peter Carroll gives it another go in the NFL. While the Seahawks should add key pieces this offseason it will probably take them a year or more to get back in contention for the NFC West title.
Below we have the Seahawks 2010 -2011 regular season schedule for you to view as we inch closer to the beginning of the NFL season. We also have the fantasy relevant players for Seattle, and a breakdown for all NFL teams in schedule strength in win/loss, against the pass, run and points.
Strength of Schedules
Help Needed On Offense
Matt Hasselbeck was beaten up once again in 2009 behind a patch work offensive line. While Hasselbeck is still projected to be the starting quarterback, the team did trade for Charlie Whitehurst from the Chargers.
Whitehurst should be able to come in a provide a spark for this offense once Hasselbeck goes down again due to injury. I say that because the Seahawks will probably have a rebuilt offensive line this season and chemistry will be lacking.
With this problem, Hasselbeck is doomed against teams that can generate a pass rush and get to the quarterback.
Look for the Seahawks to draft an offensive linemen with one of their two first round picks in this years’ draft. They will also probably draft a physical inside runner at some point as well to go with Justin Forsett in the backfield.
Help Needed On Defense
Aaron Curry made headlines as a top end draft pick for the Seahawks last April but his presence didn’t seem to help a defense that need all it could get. This one time strong group of players has now had a couple down season, and it will be interesting to see how they perform in 2010.
While this unit is talented, I would expect them to struggle against teams with good passing offenses.
