Josh Freeman Era Continues
The Buccaneers used their first round pick last year to select quarterback Josh Freeman. Once Freeman was made the starting quarterback in the middle of the season, I thought he would play horrible.
While Freeman did have his struggles at times, he played much better than I thought he would. The Buccaneers have a good offensive line and that helps Freeman’s cause in the passing game.
Unfortunately, the team parted ways with his only notable receiver Antonio Bryant. Now, Freeman needs a rookie receiver or two to help him out this season. Don’t expect much from Freeman this season as he continues to progress as an NFL quarterback.
A Return To the Tamp Two Defense
Last season the coaching staff parted ways with the Buccaneers Tampa Two defense. This move was a failure and the team is now going back to playing the defense that has served them well for so many years.
Even with a return to basics, this defense should struggle at times as they are in a rebuilding phase.
