Torry Holt Signs With New England Patriots

Miami Dolphins v Jacksonville Jaguars

The Patriots added another old timer in wide receiver Torry Holt to a one year contract. Last season Holt had an opportunity to resurrect his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but he instead failed to even score a touchdown. Flopping that poorly in a situation for success, only goes to show that Holt’s knee injuries have caught up to him, and he’s just a role player.

Maybe Holt can win a starting job to start the season as Julian Edelman fills in for Wes Welker in the slot but don’t look for him to be a fantasy option.

It never hurts to have a veteran that knows where he needs to be and can help the team move the chains. Holt may perform better with Tom Brady as his quarterback, but I’m not sure if he can keep a starting role all season long.
