Ravens OTA – Mini Camp Notes
May 6th, Donte Stallworth Ahead Of Mark Clayton On Depth Chart
The Ravens had high hopes for receiver Mark Clayton when they drafted him with their top pick a few years back. Now, Clayton isn’t even a starter and Donte Stallworth is penciled in as the teams No. 3 receiver. Look for Clayton to either be the team No.4 pass catcher or he will be traded before the season begins.
May 7th, Michael Oher Moving Over To Left Tackle
The Ravens are working Michael Oher at the left tackle position where he is projected to take over for Jared Gaither. If Gaither isn’t traded away to the Buffalo Bills he will play at right tackle this season.
May 9th, Ngata Out For Six To Eight Weeks Longer
Defensive tackle and star Haloti Ngata will be out for another six to eight weeks as he heals from his torn pectoral muscle he suffered at the Pro Bowl. Ngata should be ready to role by the time camps come around in late July.
May 15th, Joe Flacco To Get Increased Pass Packages
In just one more sign that Joe Flacco is ready for a up tick in production offensive coordinator Cam Cameron noted that he will add more passing packages to the offense. The Ravens are exploring the use of four to five receivers on the field at the same time as they now have strong depth.
Look for Flacco as a nice fantasy sleeper this up coming season.
May 24th, Good News For Injured Corners
Fabian Washington and Lardarius Webb have both gotten good progress reports from their doctors as they are making their way back from injury. If Webb and Washington are ready to role by the start of the season this will greatly help their secondary.
