Oakland Raiders: OTA, Mini Camps – Schedule

NFL: Oakland Raiders Mini Camp

After the NFL draft, teams crank up their rookie and OTA (organized team activities) camps in May and June to get their players prepped for the up coming 2010 season. This time of year can be often over looked by many a fantasy football owner but at this time, young stars and unknown names come out and impress their coaches to challenge for future starting jobs come September.

Below we have the Oakland Raiders projected OTA schedule for May and June. Come back and check in for information that we find key for the success or concern for the Raiders future success.

OTA Schedule

May 18-20, May 25-27 June 8-10, June 15-17

April 30-May 2

Raiders OTA – Mini Camp Notes

May 5th, Schilens & Bey Projected Starters

Even though receiver Chaz Schilens had more work done on his foot that he had surgery on last August, he is projected to be a starter this season. Darrius Heyward – Bey is also projected to start opposite Schilens for the up coming 2010  season which would leave Louis Murphy as the No.3 receiver.

While these projections are early I would expect Murphy to be a starter at some point this season if Bey fails to produce or Schilens continues his injuries.

May 22nd, Bush Taking First Team Carries

I still hold out hope for Darren McFadden to be a fantasy relevant player but so far this year the returns aren’t promising. At this time, Michael Bush is taking first team carries for the Raiders as they are looking for players that will provide more productivity than handing high draft picks jobs.
