New York Giants v Baltimore Ravens

2009 Fantasy Year In Review: Every year we have different wide receivers that breakout and have a great year in their third season. Steve Smith was one of those players as he posted 107 receptions for over 1,200 yards receiving and seven touchdowns.

This production made Smith the clear favorite target of Eli Manning in the Giants passing attack as he became an every week fantasy play.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: New York is primed to throw the football again in 2010 as Manning is ready to be the true leader of this offense. Smith should benefit as he is the possession receiver on this team, and should post over 90 receptions once again.

Hakeem Nicks may end up being the most explosive receiver on this team at some point but Smith should continue to have good fantasy value throughout the next few seasons. Look for Smith as your No.2 fantasy receiver this year and he should provide you with solid production.

In ppr leagues Smith obviously has added value for that scoring format so bump him up a couple spots in your rankings if you’re in a league like that.

– Around 100 Catches A Year (PPR)

– Decent Touchdown Maker

– Solid Quarterback

– Good Overall Team

– Has Only Posted One Strong Season

– Not A Speed Burner
