Buffalo Bills Defense NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings
2009 Fantasy Year In Review: Even with an injury or two in the Bills defensive secondary this group finished a sparkling second overall against the pass. Not only did they stop the passing game, but they had a ridiculous 28 interceptions on the season as well.
While those numbers are top notch, that is about where it ends for the positives on this defense because they were horrible against the run finishing 30th overall. This major flaw kept the Bills’ defense on the waiver wire in many fantasy leagues.
2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: Since the Bills are going with a three – four defenses, they needed a big tackle at this years’ draft. In the second round, they did just that as they acquired Torrell Troup to be the future nose tackle of this team.
Even with this move I believe the Bills will still be bad against the run as they don’t have enough depth on the line and at linebacker to have a truly successful year in this area. The teams secondary will however be strong, but they will probably have a drop off from the turnovers, they got last season.
This group is maybe another year away from being a true fantasy relevant defense. Still, when your fantasy receivers on your team play this group they will probably have down weeks.
– Great Secondary
– Bad Against The Run
– Losing Overall Team
