In Big Play IDP fantasy football leagues the players that produce sacks and turnovers have more value than in tackle heavy leagues. This change doesn’t really effect the elite players for defensive lineman as all of them can make plays but it does effect everyone else.

In a league like this you would want a defensive end that can rack up six or seven sacks and only 35 tackles as opposed to a player than racks up 50 tackles but only one or two sacks. The point production for the Big Play is in the favor of the sack master.

Most of the time it is sacks and fumbles  give a defensive lineman an advantage as they usual won’t have many interceptions or pass defenses.
