As we all get ready for our IDP fantasy football draft and season it’s time to take a look at some sleepers that might help your squad. We have below a few players and why we believe they will see an up tick in production counter to where they might be selected in your draft.

Cliff Avril – The Lions gave Avril help on the defensive line this offseason as they added Ndamukong Suh on the inside and a respectable veteran in Kyle Vanden Bosch on the opposite end. With these players next to Avril, the young defensive end should see lots of one on one opportunities.

Look to Avril as good depth for your squad as we need to see the Lions show they can stay in football games longer before Avril is worth starting regularly.

Shawne Merriman – The Chargers top big play man on defense had a bad come back last season. This shouldn’t have been that big of a surprise as Merriman was coming off of a bad knee injury that cost him all but one game in 2008.

As the season moved on last year Merriman didn’t accumulate many sacks, but he was proving to be more nimble and gained strength in the knee. Look for Merriman to play more like his former self as he is now two years removed from his knee problem, and he’s playing for a new contract.

Antonio Cromartie – If it is true that Darrelle Revis is supposed to see very fewer targets his way than it must mean that offenses will throw Cromartie’s way. Where Revis losses value, Cromartie gains as the troubled corner is still very athletic and can make plays.
